what wires to tap into?
What wires do i tap into for my 95 gsr for my amp install(RCA outputs). my rca adapter has 6 wires.. 4 for the speakers, 2 for i dont know.. Please help me out ASAP. Thanks guys
The real answer to your Q is the following: I'm asuming you have a Hi/Lo converter box. It shoud have on the opposite side of the female RCA connetors; a pair of white wires, solid white (+) and white w/black trace (-). These are your left high level speaker input from the radio. A pair of gray wires, solid gray (+) and gray w/black trace (-). These are your right high level speaker input from the radio. The other two wires left, I'm asuming they're black or brown, are for extra ground sometimes needed to help eliminate signal noise. Most of the time you don't hook them up. This description correspond to the PAC hi/lo converter. Some other brands are similarly coded.
To find out which color is which from your factory radio, you might need the tech data sheet that explains what color the speaker wires are. Or, just look for the wire color at each speaker to help trace the code. Some times it helps.
You can use the front speakers or the rear speakers. For subwoofer use, you commonly use the rear channels.
Good luck!
