I run 10w-30 Amsoil full synthetic.... Goooood ****. However good oil also needs a good filter. Don't forget about that. Oh by the way I drive a 99 Lude in North Florida.
Royal Purple 5w30 in my N/A 4th gen.

I read about it on TPC... I haven't met it here in Europe (I have less than 10km to Germany). Or maybe I don't notice that oil in shops.
Back to topic: Shell semi-synt 10W40. (Do you Americans use Shell at all??)

I was told that using synthetic was only good for high temp. uses. In other words ever time I cold start my car up using syn. I will get a dry start cause the oil is so light (or something along those lines). Is my manager of wonder lube a comeplete dousche? BTW he drives a 93 40th aniversery edition vette zr-1(?) w/ 600+ hp at the wheels. He runs a 12 seccond 1/4, and has driven it up to 178 w/ pedal to go on the indianapolis 500(he won 5 or 10 laps at a car show).
I run mobil 1 5-30 synthetic cause it usually is cold as hell here. I will be switching to 15-50 in the summer. does that sound ok?

Your theory on Synthetic being bad for cold starts and cold weather is exactly the opposite of the truth. Think about it, if the oil flows better, you get better lubrication, at startup, when you need it the most.
Amsoil Series 2000 fully synthetic. Car is mostly driven in the summer, stored in the winters, so it gets the 10w40.
AmsOil, the first in synthetics.
And as ludemazter850 said, good oil deserves a good filter system, which is why I have the by-pass filter system from AmsOil as well. You only need to change the oil every 25K, if you change the by-pass filter every 10-15K.

well i used to use royal purple 10w30 full synthetic, but this time i used Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w30. would you recomend Amsoil for a frequently flogged car?
