I'm rebuilding a salvage title, and the dash vin doesn't match the body vin. CHP wants me to remove the dash vin. In there an easy way to do so? Do i have to remove the whole stinking dash? Would it be easier to remove the windshield? TIA!!!!

 

it would probably take all day to remove the dash were as some people can remove the windshield in a matter of minutes.

 

FYI - removing a windshield and re-installing it is gonna run you roughly 280 bucks (new top moulding included).

Take the dash off... there is no way to get to that vin plate without taking the dash off.. as for the windshield idea LOL.. you can take the dash off in an hour or 2 if you have done it before..
