Default ECU FUSE UNDER HOOD KEEPS POPPING

I HAVE A '91 HONDA CRX WITH A B16A SWAP, AND MUGEN ECU, LAST WEEK AS I WAS DRIVING ONTO A DRIVE WAY, MY VEHICLE ALL OF SUDDEN SHUT DOWN, AS IF I JUST STALLED. CHECKED EVERYTHING, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS MY DISTRUBUTOR THE WHOLE TIME, THEN LATER FOUND OUT IT WAS MY ECU FUSE UNDER THE HOOD, IT TAKES A 15 AMP FUSE, SO I REPLACED IT, AND TRIED STARTING THE CAR, AND THE FUSE WOULD POP, OVER AND OVER WITH A 15 AMP. I THEN TRIED A 20 AMP, JUST SO I CAN GET THE CAR RUNNING, AND IT WAS RUNNING OK WITH THE 20 AMP, BUT A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER IT POPPED THE 20 AMP, NOW I DOUBLE THE AMP TO A 30 AMP FUSE, BUT IM SCARED IT MAY RUIN MY ECU. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON, AND IT GAVE MY A CODE 17, WHICH IS SAYING I HAVE A BAD CONNECTION/GROUND TO THE VTEC SOLENOID, BUT EVERYTHING LOOKED GOOD FROM THERE, SO I THINK IT MAY BE COMING FROM MY WIRING HARNESS FROM THE ECU, BECAUSE THE DAY OF MY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, MY FRIEND WAS SITTING ON THE PASSANGER SIDE, AND EXTENDED HIS LEGS AND IT LOOKED LIKE HE WAS PROBABLY RESTING HIS FEET ON THE ECU AND WIRING HARNESS, SO THAT COULD POSSIBLY THE TIME THAT I GOT BAD GROUND AND COULD CAUSE THIS ELECTRICAL HEADACHE, ANY ADVISE WITH THE AMP FUSE AND OTHER ELECTRICAL HELP, PLEASE!

is the fuse keeping blowing then sounds like you got a wire being grounded somehow. keep the right fuse there because if you put a high amp one in there you could try your ecu, check your ecu wiring and make sure a wire didnt come out or something liek that

first off.... lose the damn caps that **** IS ANNOYING AS HELL TO READ.
second do not use larger rated fuse thats possibly the worst thing you could do.
you have a short some where in your harness. trace all the wires back through the harness and find out where its shorting.

first, a code 17 is VSS or the speed sensor, if your getting that code, most likely you have bad ground somewhere, check your engine grounds..

About the code 17, the speed sensor did go out on my dash also, the needle on the speedometer is not moving anymore, but the rpm needle still moves, also my odometer is not moving anymore. i didnt do my own swap, so i dont know to much much about the wiring harness and connections, should i bring my car to an electrical shop? i heard from friend that it takes more than a 30 amp fuse to fry my ecu, is that true?

I would go back to using the same fuse that was previously in there (same rating), or else you may just find out if it's true or not..

the swap was done over a year ago. i believe the check engine light code is just telling me that my speed sensor is out, so i'll probably have to check the speed cable or the gauge cluster. i also heard that the ingition is the one that also controlls the ecu fuse, and that could be the cause of the ecu fuse to keep popping, has anyone heard that before?
