Default how do the v-spec coils ride, what coils would ride well?

i just got my EK...should i buy some cheaper coils now and get a complete set later? would it be worth spending $1,400 to buy the full Tanabe suspension kit, APeX N1's, or some TEINs...what would give me the best ride?

whatever you do, do NOT get a cheap set now..and then get what you want later. dont learn the hard way like most of us.. get what you want the first time.. you'll same yourself a lot of time, money, and headaches.

I have V-Spec VersionII coilovers on my car and I am very satisfied with the ride for the price I paid($150 brand new shipped from VIS racing) I have them sitting on Tokico blues non-adjustable gas. I admit, I should have saved up to get better shocks but I got the Tokico's for a very good price as well($60 ea.) I don't autox or anything so it's fine with me. I do plan on getting some ground controls on koni yellows soon, I've had my currents suspension set up for about 3 years now and it's time for a new one for me.

I've got Vis V-spec coils too and am happy with them. No, there not Skunk or Eibach but they work really well. I have them over my stock shocks but wll be getting some Koni yellows soon.

If all you are looking for it to lower your car, you should be fine. Especially if you have never lowered your car before.

I had them for about 3 days. Thought they were terrible since I was looking for more stability in hard driving over the stock system. Sold them. Then I bought some Apexi N1's. Great for canyon driving and a few track events. Sold them since they weren't stiff enough for the track.

There is no need for coilovers on the street. Most people never adjust the height once they are on the car. Plus the perches freeze up if you do care for them on a regular basis. Especially on the cheap stuff like V-Spec II's.

I am in the middle of a build up right now, but I am going to use Type R shocks and Spoon or H&R springs. For the track I am going to using Spoon linear springs & shocks.
