Default Best Short throw for 5th gen??

I Did a search for short throws and it did not amount to much other than the 4bidden one is amazing for the 4th gen.

Any sugestions on the best one for a 5th gen? Are the adapters good? or do they feel notchy?

I have no experience with this in preludes, i jsut bought the car. I had a GSR integra with a solo in it and loved it... what would be comparable... (other than the solo)

The adapter idea sounds neat, and is cheap, which is great. But I'm concerend about how they would feel, are they solid? will it break?

Any feedback on current setups and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thought I'd chime in here since I was looking at short throws for sometime. There aren't any that exist that I know of. 4bidden is supposed to be working on one for the 5th gen, I'm sure he'll post.

As for adapters, they won't be as nice as the real thing. They might be cheaper but if you're use to a real short shifter you'll be disappointed. I know neuspeed makes one.

As someone else is trying right now....you can simply weld a new bracket on to get a "true" short shifter. Due to the design of the 5gen assembly, it would require a lot of work and a high cost to do a "true" short shifter design.

I did this mod, fairly easy to do, and makes shifts feel much better.

that link went to an explanation of just cutting the shifter down. Thats all fine and good, but i was hoping for a little more help regarding reducing throw.

clarification on the post from 4bidden would be great.

what doe you mean weld on a new bracket....

are the adapters really that bad, do they break is my big question?

The adapters put extra stress on the shifter cable, and can cause it to snap.
