my input on the tokico illuminas and spring kit for a '97 gsr...
i installed them about a week ago and the lowered the car a nice amount, i havn't measured it yet but it's not slammed but when your next to a stock teg you can def. tell.
The springs are 250 front and 150 rear, according to tokico. W/ thos spring rates, the ride is def comfy but when you push the car, it's still pretty nice. Def wouldn't mind a little stiffer setup to reduce the dive under breaking and reduce a bit more of the body roll and to increase oversteer but the car is real predictable and going through mountain roads a whole hell of a lot faster then i should have, the car was easy to control and when the rear stepped out, it was quicker then youd think but was easily correctable and easy to notice when it was stepping out.
I've been through all the settings on the shocks and i was surprised how you could acutally feel a diff between each setting. I cruise around on 2 al the way around but on fri satnights i go up to 3 up front and 4 in tehe rear. Through the twistys i'll go 5 in the back and 3 or 4 up front.
All in all though it's a pretty solid kit if your looking for a good touring setup. I prefer something just a little stiffer but that'sme. Just giving you guys my .02$
