Default Used parts in new Honda

In a recent Honda inspection of my '97 Honda Accord LX, it was discovered that the radiator, radiator assembly, and coolant fan assembly are all 1994-95 parts, apparently factory installed. Honda has confirmed that it is not their policy or practice to install earlier model parts in a current production vehicle, but no one can explain how these parts got into my car. It has never been involved in an accident, and has had every scheduled service and maintenance check performed by the same dealership where I purchased the car. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

um, as far as i know, they are all the same. I even think the Integra uses the same radiator as an Accord. I don't see how they could tell what year it come from, unless there is a difference.

Replacing parts that are not of OEM quality, or for different makes or model years is not a Honda Dealership/Factory common practice..
The Honda Accord body style is the same from 94-97, so many if not most of the parts would be the same throughout that production of vehicles..
Please tell us how you came about this discovery..
