My car this morning... 2000 PY ITR #506 was defiled
One month before I wanted to sell her.... now what am I going to get out of it...?????
Engine is fine atleast, looked like a quick ****** and grab to me, they didnt have time to take the ecu or the stereo... my roomies were at the bar until 3am and they said it was fine then. I went to work at 730am this morning (or tried to). They took my stock wheels, my interior, my stereo faceplate, amp, subs, VAFC, MY F$@KING CLOCK, and my shift ****.
Question... ive got a set of 15"racing hart cp035's with new tires i can put on her, but I dont have all the lugs right now, i'll have to get some... what do you think I could get for my car if I tried to sell it in this condition, with one regular integra seat, and a new shift ****, and the cp035's (so that it is drivable)? Its mechanically sound and has 68000 miles on it with a new stock clutch. It also has a JDM header (also still have the stock header), and skunk2 camgears. 8000? 9000???
F$ck me

holy **** dude - if that was my car, I'd be PISSED!
At least they didn't steal it... You can always get new wheels and seats.

Ouch... you can still get over $14k easily by replacing some of the missing parts. Just don't let your insurance company give you a salvage title... that would mean death to your car's value.
I bet if you spent ~$1k, you can return it back to stock easily.
btw, why the fugg would someone take the clock?!?

Let us know what your insurance co. says the interior and wheels are worth.
You might end up with a smile on your face after all.

True... stock interior & wheels are mad $$. As long as the ins. co. doesn't total it, you could see ~$3-4k.

if your smart this is what I would do....
let insurance total the car... since the seats alone are 9 000$ new they are going to for sure total the car...get your 15-18k
then buy it back for like 5-6gs and fix it for about 1-2gs
so basically your gonna get 8-10Gs in your pocket and ull be able to keep the car
you understand what im saying???
there always abright side!!! dont worry about it!

Damn dude sorry to here about your misfortune. your car looks exactly like mine red calipers and all
.
also as stated before the problem with him totaling the car would be a drasticly lower resale value, so its short term gain or long term loss.

who cares, does it really change the car in any way???
lets be honest.. if you wanna lower the value of my R by 3-4gs and let me pocket 8-10gs... damm id be there in a second!

That pisses me off to no end and its not even my car. They took the clock because it lights up amber. ********. I hope all turns out well for you. I think insurance would total it out with the price of the rims/tires and interior.
**** bro. That car is totalled now. The value of the interior is about 10K alone, plus the wheels. Unfortunately Ive been there, done that. IM me if you have any questions.
DIE THIEVES!

Uhhh....no alarm? It must of taken a bit of time to remove all of that stuff from your car. Nobody seen anything??

Yeah, I think they're going to total it.... I called an acura dealership and got a quote on the things stolen:
Interior- He wasnt sure right off but said that he priced one about a month ago and said it was around 10K
Wheels- 386.71 a piece = 1546.84
Shift ****- 221.17
Clock (so thats why they stole it)- 209.42
Door Handle Cover - 27.68
Heres my guess at other things in the car:
Amp - 400
Subs - 300
Tires - 300
VAFC - 250
Faceplate - 100
TOTAL: 13,355.11
j e b u s
my guess is they will total it... which could be a silver lining because I was trying to sell it anyways... who knows, I'll post in a few days and let you know whats going on.
-RTW DC2 keep an eye on your IM for me, I might have some questions for you, and thanks for offering to help

no problem...I think depending on what you want to do with the car(keep it, keep it and then sell it, or let the insurance take it) depends on what you should do from here. I wouldnt call the insurance yet though. Figure out what u want to do with the car first. U can repair it without contacting them, and it wont get a salvaged title, but that money is gonna come out of your pockets. Please IM me before u do anything further.

it's also quite possible they'll replace everything without giving him a salvage title..
and he can take the big check based on the dealer price quotes and buy interior, wheels, clock, etc. off here for a fraction of the cost.. if he handles the insurance properly, he'll come out quite a bit ahead i would imagine..

why would the insurance company NOT total the car? the damage is well over half the value of the car. It wouldnt be in their best interest to just give him a HUGE check and not take the car. If it gets totalled, it gets a salvage/rebuilt title. Maybe it depends on state, but in NY thats how it is.

they possibly would not because of what was taken.. mechanically, and body work wise, the car is fine.. many times, the insurance company needs up to 90% of the value before they'll total it anyhow..
and if it gets totalled, and he buys it back, it does not necessarily mean that he will get a salvage title for it. it can and he can find out beforehand though. if he does this, you should ask the proper way, ie. "Will I need to surrender the title if you total it and I buy it back, or can I just keep it?"
besides, he can talk to the insurance company and find out all of this. if at any point he decides he doesn't like what he hears and would rather fix it himself with no help from the insurance and stop the claim. it's his choice..
and, since he mentioned he was going to sell it anyhow, maybe letting the insurance take it off his hands wouldn't be such a bad idea for him.. i was just suggesting how he could stand to profit from this.. showing the silver lining to the situation..
