Problem with initial acceleration
Hi All,
I have a Honda Accord SE 2000 with 45000+ miles on it. All maintenance is done per the book. I have to press the gas pedal hard (kind of stuck) if the car is sitting there for couple of hours or so for the first time. This never happens when driving. Somebody suggested carbon built up. Could I get some help on this? Is this a "Do it yourself" work?
Thanks

i dont know if this would be the same but my mom's GMC Jimmy had this same problem the pedal would be stuck and i would have to slam on it and the car would accelerate quite quickly... I got some 3-in-1 oil (stuff used for oiling bike chains and the such) and put it on the back of the pedal, i think hinges or something, and that worked for a little while. Then my dad had to take it in to be fixed? It might have been the cable was a little bit tight.
