I need to know how many gallons of paint I will need to paint my EG hatch. I already have 1 gallon of NHO Championship White Paint and I dont know if this will be enough. Thanks

that will be more than enough to paint your car inside out with some leftover

 

what about the primer? is this a DIY?

 

are changing it to white from a different color? And how many coats are you planning on using?

If you do the engine bay, exterior, and interior i would say you would have about enough for 2-3 good coats..maybe...

 

but remember he would have to mix with reducer and activator each coat when he refills the gun thus giving him more to work with unless the gallon that he has bought is already premixed

 

Well I will prolly pick up another 1/2 gallon then. Im making the engine bay black to offset what will be powdercoated "almost chrome" under the hood. Currently the car is red and Im really loving the championship white. Thats what I wanted my old crx to be but that project wasnt going anywhere. BTW, anyone know of a good rear bumper for sale for my 1995 civic Si?

are you doing base coat clear coat ??? if so you will prolly only need half of that i have never used more than a quart of color on a car

exactly thats what i was saying especially if he is doing base coat/clear coat....he'll have some left over for touch up needs that gallon is more than enough to do the job

 

Well, Thanks for answering my questions guys, You have been a big help. My uncle and I will get started on my car and I might put up some pics as soon as it gets out of the booth and I get my slips and a drop on.
