Default Will a 91 act clutch kit fit a 89

Is there a difference between the 89 clutches and the 91? I remember reading something about this but when I searched I couldn’t find anything.
Thanks

I believe that only the 88's had a different spline count, and the 89-91 were the same....

89's have a slightly smaller flywheel. 90-00 are the same.

Im in the same boat. I bought a 90-91 flywheel and clutch to fit on an 89.

You have to change the flywheel bro. yours is 200mm, you need 212 mm

So if I want to buy a lighten flywheel which one should I buy because ive seen a lot of them that claim to fit any d-series 88-00?

buy a flywheel that specifies 1990-00 d series and you will be able to use the clutch set for the 91. or, just get a flywheel for a 90-00 - doesn't have to be aftermarket, unless you want to put the lightweight aluminum flywheel in there.
