I've searched this for a while and here is what i have tried so far.
Checked timing, now set to 0, but changing it had no effect
replaced cap and rotor
checked valve lash
tried different set of injectors and plugs.
Here's the problem: Car idles noticably bad at cold start 2 seconds after starting. The CEL comes on if and only if hold I the the gas at 2k rpms. When the car warms up and the rpms fall, the car idles fine, though it will misfire at 1500 rpms rather than 2k. When the CEL does come on (does not flash) throws codes 71, 72, 73, 74. When driving: Slight miss at 3k, high rpms are fine, though I here sharp ticking in the engine block when shifting gears (rpms around 3k). I know some people have had this misfire problem before, just curious what was done to fix it. One thing I noticed is that the timing belt has about 2cm of play on the front side, wondering if I should be concerned. Thanks

here's a reeeeal stupid solution, check the cruise button, if it's acidentally pushed in the car feels like a misfire on acceleration and the CEL comes on and stays on til you shut the car off.... i've done it, don't think it's not possible
