nop, if you look correctly, the engine is reversed, so the intake is in front exhaust close to the firewall.

you can get a plate for 1200$ that will make it possible the mix between those two, but you still have to put the engine the other way, so $$$$ for the custom mounts

The B series spins counter-clockwise. The K series spins clockwise.

You would have 6 speeds in reverse.

The S2000 engine also spins clockwise, the same as the K series.

You could modify a B series to spin backwards. You would have to mount the starter and crankshaft position sensor backwards and then have custom cams ground with reverse profiles ground. Use an aftermarket ignition system that uses a direct fire system and a crank triggered sensor rather than a distributor. The addition of a second driving gear on the water pump and the oil pump should solve any problems there. And then you have to go through the ordeal of mounting the engine backwards, plus the making of a new header and exhaust (the stock intake manifold should work just fine).

Of course, why couldn't you use the K series tranny with the B series mounted the way it was originally inteded. If the input shaft spins backwards, then everything else spings backwards as well, thus giving you 6 driving gears in whichever direction the rotation of the input shaft governs and one gear in the reverse of that. You would need to make an adapter plate and mount the shifter assembly rather than the shift linkage for the B series. Also I believe the K series uses cable clutches, but I'm not sure. You're biggest issue would be chassis clearance. For the clutch and flywheel, just use the stock K series clutch and have an aftermarket K series flywheel drilled with mounting holes for a B series instead.

Sounds like an interesting project.

OK, don't laugh everyone. This is what they did for the BTCC series. You will notice on the Accords that the engine is on the wrong side of the engine bay, this was to accomodate the tranny, and have the intake on the front of the engine. Those teams have STUPID amounts of money to play with.

One thing you forgot was that you would have to have custom pistons built which are designed with the major thrust on the other side of the piston. Piston pins are not exactly in the middle of the piston, they are offset to one side. Run them the wrong way and they will hammer like crazy.

the k tranny bolt pattern is different..i think only 1 or 2 holes line up...but the bolt pattern for b and k flywheels are the same except the k block has a stub that sticks out of the flywheel end of the crank that prevents the b flywheel from sitting flush against the crank.
