What size tires is everybody running on stock 6th gen rims?
i saw a 6th gen at my school with 215/55's on the stock EX-V6 rims. what size has everybody used? would 225's be too wide?

whats the first number/2nd number stand for?
i think 17" rims are perfect with 6th gen coupes.. remember.. big rim = less lower.

I run 205/60/15 on my stock 4-cyl '01 steelies, stock tires are 195/65/15. I think, but am not positive, that the v6 Accords came with 205/xx/16....or maybe 15.....but I'm pretty sure they didn't come with 195/65/15.
Maybe someone with a V6 can confirm or correct?

sounds confusing.. i think a picture of a tire /w rim and arrows pointing at it would be more efficient to me lol..

Correct..sord of..you can lower your car as much as you want to but for optimal performance you want to use a good combination on springs, struts, and wheels and tires..

generally speaking, yes
but you can have the same overall size, 16inch with monster profile size tire and a 20inch with rubber band tires.

The 205's look fine on the Accord. They really don't look much different than the 195's other than the fact that it's a completely different tire, so naturally the tread pattern is different.
How low you can go isn't really affected by going with a larger diameter rim. You're best to stick with the same total diameter wheel+tire. So basically a 15" and 17" will either both fit, or neither fit.
However it's not that simple, since usually people get wider wheels and/or tires when they go with a larger diameter. So the width of the wheel/tire influences how low you can go. And of course that all depends on getting the right offset of the wheel to go along with the width of the wheel.

There are two things that will *likely* happen when you go from 15" to 18". First, you will lose acceleration. Second, you will lose braking efficiency. But how much of a difference you'll notice depends on the original weight and the new weight, naturally.
The rough numbers, iirc, are that every 1 lb. of rotational mass will be roughly equivalent to adding 100 lbs. of static mass to the vehicle. Of course this is just an approximation.
Unrelated to the actual size of your wheel is also your wheel+tire total diameter. If you make the diameter smaller it changes your effective gear ratio and can improve your acceleration. For instance, if you have 195/65/15 on your car and switch for 195/55/15, you'll get slightly improved acceleration and a less-accurate speedometer/odometer, unless you calibrate them.
