mercedes deck install
i have checked mercedes sites and they dont have any write ups on installing a deck in a M.B 300e. this is the w124 body style.
i would like to know if anyone has any info on how to wire in a aftermarket deck. i have heard that a audi wire harness will work, but no one has confirmed this.
any info would be appreciated.

there is no harness for this car a audi/ vw plug will not work if your just relpacing the radio and not bypassing the factory amp you will have to use the factory fader you should know what im talking about its in the center console your going to use only the front outputs of the aftermarket radio those will go to the two factory speaker leads you are going to also have to trigger the factory amp its pretty easy you will need a dvm to do this install right
typically all do. even those that do not still use a common ground system. The fader unit is also a PITA in a sense.
Most merc's I do end up being hard wires and using some sort of common ground adaptor.
