I was looking under the hood for inspiration and motivation to go turbo. I am looking and i see something very odd. It is a little plastic strip, maybe 6 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. maybe 1/20 of an inch thick. It tapers near the end. The top is smooth, and the bottom has the same texture as the side of a quarter (the skinny part). I look at the end and it looks like it got cut. It was just sitting there strewn across right here.



I picked it up nervously and went inside to ask yall what it is. Ahh!! It wasnt attatched to anything! Any help is greatly greatly appreciated. BTW it is a 2000 LS 5 spd.

Edit: that pic is smaller than i thought it would be. It was strewn on the metal part, propped up on the wires.

looks kind of like a twist tie. Maybe to hold wires together or something? Its driving me crazy. anyone know anything about it?

resizing the picture would help us alot, or zooming onto that spot again

 

it turns out it is just one of those things that holds the wires together.
