Default Can this be fix??? Welders please I need your opinion..... GSR Block

Sup everyone... I bought this GSR block for $350 with everything except for rods and pistons... but, it has crack on one of the engine mount mounting threads and the rest has no thread (lose thread)... please view pictures below and kindly give me your opinion if this is fixable/usable. Welders what do you guys think? TIA

If its fixable... do you guys think its fine to boost it 20psi? I'm getting it sleeved and bore out to 84mm. Thanks

they are steel threads that you insert into hole that the threads were damaged on. first you tap the threads oversized, then you put in the helicoil, then all is well. dont think that this is a bad thing, as it isnt. if you look closely you can see that Honda tranny's come with helicoils already installed in all mount bolt holes.

best thing to do is fill the holes and then retap or try TIMESERT Better than helicoil in my opinion.

Man thats wierd. The same thing happen to my old ls motor in my 97 coupe. I rethreaded the holes with a tap and die set the next bigger size and course thread instead of the fine thread. Never had a problem after that, even spraying a 100 shot.
