How to adjust sensivity of shock sensor? viper 790xv
I just recently purchased a Viper 790xv 2 way alarm.. It works great and has incredible range. I got it for a great deal too, $280 installed. Im loving it so far.
Initial testing of the unit confirmed that the shock sensor was working well. It took a pretty good hit to set it off though. Yesterday i was testing it out, and noticed that it wasnt very sensitive at all. All the triggers work, but even a hard hit doesnt set it off. How do you adjust the sensitivity of the alarm so it will do off when it should? I dont see any adjustment on the brain.

If you don't see any adjustment screw in the brain, look around the steering colunm or else where for a lil black box with LEDs and adjustment screw(s). Also, a four wire plug comming out of it. If none of these exist, then the adjustment is done from the remote. Read the manual.
The viper 790xv has a CLEAR shock sensor, a white 4 pin harness from the brain leads to a clear box , on one side of the box (small enough to fit in the palm of your hand) is an orange dial inset in the shock sensor, use a small phillips screwdriver to adjust. Clockwise for more sensitive, counter-clockwise for less sensitive....now the hard part might be finding the shock sensor. It should be zip-tied to a bundle of wires or an air vent under the dash.
