Default What's the going rate for this kind of maintenance for a Civic?

A local Honda specialist shop quoted me about $700-$800 to replace all the belts, the water pump (including a coolant flush and fill), the master cylinder, and flush and fill of the brake fluid. This quote covers both parts and labor.

How much would an OEM Honda master cylinder for a 94-95 Civic EX w/ABS cost?

Master cylinder should cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $170- $200 if I'm not mistaken.

As for the timing belt package, this seems awefully high. Here, we charge roughly $400-$475 parts and labor depending on model of car.

Hope this helps

Yes, I was quoted about $400-$450 for the timing belt/alternator belt/water pump/coolant flush 'n fill.

The master cylinder replacement and brake fluid flush 'n fill was about $300-$350ish, so about $700-$800 total.

I'm not mechanically inclined (most I've done was replace a broken driver's side window regulator and removed an aftermarket header and replaced it with the stock header) and if I was to do it by myself, I doubt I could finish it in a day.

Do the master cylinder yourself. That's a lot of money to be asking for that.
