WHat do u mean by competition? My dad has one and i recently took it to cali. I was beating a stock rsx-s on the highway if that gives u any idea. NE questions feel free to pm me. I have a si crx and the mini would blow the dorrs off of it.

compairing apples and oranges... late 80 to early 90s sport compact to a 2002+ sport compact. two different breeds of cars for two different needs. but for the price of a mini you can build a kick *** crx

Hey man, trust me. I'd rather have the money for a mini and build a sweet crx. The mini is quick but for what it cost i think it needs more power. If you do simple **** to ur crx a mini s is beatable. after i install my header, exhaust, and shafts I should have no problem thakin the mini down. As for handling, the mini is ****** spectacular. Both however with proper mods are great cars.

Just curious do you have ne details about what kind of maintanance it had trouble with. the mini isnt as fast as a lot think, but a crx will have a hell of a time trying to pull as hard a mini in 3rd@4500rpm. The s is ****** quick when driven right in the proper gear. plus top speed is around 140 for the mini. not sure but so far ive gotten i up to 130 with a lil to spare. as above tho, with a swap, u should have no problems.

oh the maintenence stuff is BS. People who race and track the car hardcore are the ones who have the issues with crap. I'll talk to my buddy he knows more about the issues they can have, he works for BMW.

Bottom line is the mini is an AWESOME car. It's got torque and pulls hard! upgrading the SC pulley helps big time too. I'll let you guys know how his feels after he upgrades it in a week or two..

i'm a valet supervisor in a high end hotel in miami..i drove a customers mini which he took a reg cooper and installedd a stage 4 turbo with nos to back it up. he's pushing 360-380 hp on the little car.shhhh don't tell him i drove it around downtown a block or two..damn let me tell you that **** fly's.he had the boost set down at 15.you can get the same and more with less money to a crx.but the stock handling this car produces is awsome..

i would say that for the 10g i have in my car it will out do a mini in about everything. i mean if u want to compair any two cars i guess you have to do it dollar for dollar what is the best value.

Once while I was screwing around racing with a 240sx, I had a mini do the flyby on us both. I quickly dropped a gear and flew up to the mini like it was standing still. The bad part is I hit the 112mph limiter, and I ended up getting the flyby from the 240 and the mini. It was fun, but I want a rematch. The mini is no threat to a CRX with a B16.

is that what the stock limiter is because i have hondata on my CRX and before the turbo i could still do over 120 but it was on a track not on the road because i would hate to hit something at 120 in my car.

I agree... ahhh.. those good old days when I think I actually wanted to die.

Uhhh.. anyway, you can hit 120 if you've got 16s. I was on 14s, and 115 was what the gauge was reading. The cutoff for the ECU is 112 I believe. I'm getting a chip, so the top speed will be 138 (tranny limit), but there's no way in **** that I'm ever going to use that now.
