Ticking noise
I recently bought a 98 Lude SH ...and when I was test driving it I was too excited to notice any little noises. As I was driving home though, I noticed a pretty loud ticking noise somewhere on the passenger side. It only makes noise when the car is moving, so I think it might be a loose piece of plastic somewhere. Anybody else had this problem/annoyance? I got my friend to ride with me, and he couldn't locate where the ticking noise was coming from. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Check that the U shaped exhuast bracket between the manifold and cat is not broken it makes a terrible loud ticking noise. My car repeatedly breaks the bracket for some unknown reason. help anyone?
best to jackup the car and look closely, when its snapped it can still look fine from a distance

wow - i didnt mention anything because i thought i had hit something or done something stupidly wrong to have broken it - that metal flat bracket that is welded to the midpipe - that goes up and bolts to the rear of the crankcase? last time i checked, it was snapped at the piping end - along a nearly perfect line a few milimeters away from the weld. poor product quality?
these are dc sports ceramic coated, by the way. i installed them pretty well, and they just snap. anyone think i can get a warranty replacement claiming it as a defect?
?? does dc have a warranty on defects like this?
we are talking about the same bracket, right?
