what's a good manual to use for 01 accord?
I have a 2001 Accord sedan, and I was wondering what a good manual is for this car? I'd want it to have information and diagrams so that i can do simple mechanical things like change the oil, change the air filter, stuff like that.
Anyone have any good recommendations? Lemme know! thanks

get the factory service manual, it is the best manual u can get, probably around 70bux but it is worth every penny. has diagrams, and even tells you the torques and HOW many screws you need to take out, if they are nuts or bolts, it is so detailed

cool, thanks for all the helpful info.
I think that i'll just go for the dealer manual. $70 ain't too bad if you consider how much you can save doing all the stuff yourself.

Post counts don't mean anything. Just show people you know what you are talking about and they will listen. I say go with the helm manual.
If you really ONLY are interested in such simple maintenance items as changing oil and air filters, then a Chilton or Haynes manual should be plenty good.
The factory service manual (Helm's manual) is more expensive and much more detailed. While it is an excellent manual it's not really worth the money for the very basic maintenance items. However if you are interested in more detailed maintenance items then it is the best.
It also never hurts to have multiple manuals, if you don't mind the cost. For some items one manual may have a better diagram or explanation than another......

plus helms manuals have specialized ones for specific trim models of the cars like one just for the v6 and one for the 4cyl and then an over all.
