Hell, I've seen those banners on ebay and I've thought about going into the banner business...

Do you know what my costs would be to simple take a logo and have it printed in bulk on some vinyl? Let me just say that at the price those things are selling for on ebay (they are ugly and done by amateurs by the way) I would make a HUGE profit...

I got my HKS banner from my friend's garage who was going to throw it away when he moved. It's a black banner w/ white lettering and big enough to cover most of one wall in my r00m.

yoshi - who'd like to get some banners also

Shops always get them. Shinestreet always has a ton of really nice ones. We have a Shinestreet, HKS, Tochiko, and a few other in our garage

you cant just make them without paying some kind of copyright fee. All those are copyrighted logos so if you want to make banners, you have to obtain permission. That usually involves a fee. Therefre the price goes up. Its amazing. When comapines first start out. They ask you to put up their stuff. Then when they break, its the other way around.

Whats your point? Im speaking from a completly legal POV. Spoon has the right to sue the makers if they so desire. Im just presenting a view from a legal perspective so people cant say Oh i didnt know. That doesnt excuse you from breaking the law. Neglegence is not an excuse. If it was, id pleed neglegence EVERY time I get a speeding ticket.

Example:
Oh sorry occifer, I didnt know it was illegal to drink and speed. I wont do it again.

I have Spoon Sports banner in white reflective..same ones uses on Spoon N1 car. Got mine from my suppliers in Japan that makes tons of banners for racing teams and such. Last I heard they made alot of the decals for rally evos and subarus. Since I doubt I will use it now if anyone want it I be willing sell it for the price I got it for.

My point is that hundreds are being made and sold on e-bay. Sure it is illegal (assuming that Spoon has registered their mark in the US), I didn't say it wasn't - but I doubt Spoon is going to come to the US and take the time and money to sue a few individuals on e-bay.

I don't make them. I'm not breaking the law. My sarcastic point in my original post was that these people are making a ton of profit (these things are selling for like $40) on something that costs dollars to produce...

P.S. I think you meant ignorance is not an excuse...

Oh i agree, im just saying that if you want to do it, there is a legal way to do it. That was my point. Just so people know what they are getting into. And yes I did, but its late and im tired.
