Basically, I have a 93 civic cx with no tach and a couple of years ago, I had to resolve to mounting a 5" monster tach to my a-pillar. Due to the visibility problems this has caused me, I am in the market for a guage cluster. My friend has a 95 del sol dohc vtec and he's getting a jdm cluster and is going to sell me his cheap. WIll this work? I don't see spending $250-300 on a jdm eg6 cluster and I cannot find a 92-95 ex/si cluster anywhere.

I don't really like the big 5 inch tachs myself, sinc ehte del sol cluster doesn't fit, you might want to try something like an apexi rev speed meter. I think pivot makes something similar also. I've seen the apex units for as cheap as $125, they have new ones out also that look more like the vafc units.
Only other thing is to keep looking for cheap JDM clusters or ex/si clusters...

 

got a canadian version of SI cluster, exact same one as the US si cluster but in kilometer instaead of miles, this came off a 93civicSI email me if you are interested

Yes I have contemplated that set up before but it blocks the vents and that monster tach looks even bigger in that location IMO. I do plan on putting guages in that location but not a tach. Thanx for all the replies, I will keep hunting.
