Need help: Suspension or Engine?
Background Facts:
1. I have Jun 3 cams and jun valve train on stock pistons...I have IHE, hondata, and cam gears
2. I have been burning quite a bit of oil lately (most likely piston rings)
3. I will eventually track my car (this year or next), but it is essentially my daily driver
4. I will get either pistons this year and coilovers next year or coilovers this year and pistons next year
Problem:
Originally, I planned to buy a set of zeals B2 ($1600 CAD) this year. However, AJR told me they wouldn't be in for around another half a year. I do not want B6's or anything that bumpy because the car is my daily driver. The other options I could think of are the mugen lowdowns (2200CAD), Tein RA (?? price), and Buddy Club ($2400). I would prefer not to buy buddy club unless it is head and shoulders above other suspensions in its price range because I think its name sound weird (flame me about that all you want, I dont care!
)
Instead of doing the suspension this year, I could choose to put in CTR pistons because Jun 3 cams love compression. That way, I could wait and buy the zeal B2s next year.
So, given all the information above, which option would you choose (best bang for the buck)? Also, are the Mugens too mild? Are there other good suspensions out there for my application that I left out? TIA

I will get the piston first, although I can get you the B6 from overseas if you want.
But the Buddy Club Suspension is very good suspension I had it on my EK before

Get the pistons, Dan. Don't bother modding the suspension unless you're going to track your car. Stock suspension is great for street driving. Maybe get some motor mount inserts to help stop wheel hop.
How many track events are you gonna attend a year? If you're only going to a couple HPDE's a year and maybe autocrossing and mostly daily driving, give the Tein Type Flex a thought. They're about $2000 CDN shipped and are very good on the street and for autocross. I haven't tracked them yet, but will this summer. They are designed for use on North American roads and were made to be a best-balanced all-around suspension. Some will tell you they're not stiff enough for track use, but if you're only attending a few HPDE's a year you don't really need track-specific coilovers and i think in the Tein's the RA's (price: around $3000 CDN) would be too stiff for daily driving. By the way, i live in Edmonton, i don't know how much smoother your roads are than ours; but ours are pretty brutal and so far i'm very happy with my purchase.
Here's a link to Western Canada's Tein Distributor if you're interested in Tein's.

Though if i were you i'd probably go for the pistons this year and coils next year.

If you're serious about tracking your car,do the suspension. Hands down, it will clean the clock of any guy who adds pistons to your engine set-up. If you want to go fast, get Tein RS coil-overs or Tein RE or RA depending on your budget. Buy some 15x7 wheels and R compound tires, 205/50/15 if you don't want to remove fender liners and do fender "adjustments", or 225/45/15 or 225/50/15 if you want a lot of grip. Get Skunk 2 front A arms and Ingalls rear upper links to tweak the camber once you lower the car. You will be amazed how much faster the car will go. Plus you can do it in stages and it won't affect reliability. I bought Advance Design coil-overs, but they are a bit hard core for street use. Mugen N1's would be even more hard core. Realtime Racing won using the Mugen N1's, and KHF guys set touring track record at Mosport in an ITR using Tein RS shocks, in 1:35 or so. That is damn fast. Make one change at a time if you like, but I made all mine at once, and I enjoyed a whole lot of track days. Stock ITR suspension is way too soft for the track if you want to go fast, as the car rolls too much and camber is not optimal. A good set of brake pads is another good thing to add, such as Cobalt Friction.
thank you to everyone's comments!
I think I will stick with the stock suspension till next year and do the pistons this year
Hey Dylan, how is traction with all that power you are putting to the ground? did the motor mounts really help traction?

I get great traction.... in third gear. Seriously though, having all the mounts done helped my wheel hop "problem". Even just doing the three included in the ES kit helped get rid of 80% of the hop.

nice...i remember the time when you took me out for a spin...your car was already pretty hardcore with the ats fd
now you got boost + ats fd
the motor mounts must help quite a bit
