Default Type R buildup from Scratch,, stage 4....

Started to assemble her... I was amazed on how fast we can assemble the car... just me and a friend doing the whole build up... where both 19

When I got her: 3 MONTHS AGO

After about 50 hours: LOTS OF SANDING

Add another 12 hours: ZINC PRIMMED RAD SUPPORT WELDED

Umm 15 hours later: PRIMMED AND PREPPED ENGINE BAY AND INTERIOR

5 hours later: NICE BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT,, look at that shine!

only 5-6 hours in and its started to look like a car again!.... Gas tank, break lines, wire harness, master break, clutch, pedals, subframe, suspension........ time to go home!

will be off to the body shot next week to get the outside done!!!!

WISH ME LUCK
Tyler

I payed 6 000$Ca for the shell.. yes its ALOT but it has never been hit.. so thats why i payed alot for a bare shell....an its a 2001
Well I got another R smashed for 7gs so in total about 20 000$ CA however i do not think I would be able to buy a 2001 R in this perfect contidion...

Yes i know its VGA (salvage title in the US) but i dont ever plan on selling the car so value dosent matter to me... I just want to have a show room condition car...

Its gonna be a garage queen and only come out to play on nice sunny days!!

I got a 99 GSR for a daily driver!

Why wasn't the car completely painted then taken home?

I was afraid to scratch it when assebling it plus I saved like 700$ by doing the paint myself... but i dont think im good enough to do the outside just yet!

Perhaps it would be possible to document each step and the necessary procedure as well as the order of installation so that others can learn from this.
