Default Removing discoloration from Stainless Steel Header?

Is it possible to remove/lighten the discoloration that develops on a stainless steel header?

you could try mothers aluminum polish followed by "blueaway" wich i believe they sell at golf shops seems to be the norm of what people use

can anyone vouch that this works? i'd love to clean mine. it looks like s**t.

i wet sanded mine and the goldness came right off and was 'steel' color again

what grit sandpaper? steel wool? 0000?

It will come off but once you start it again, it will come back. Make sure to scuff if up and polish it real good

i just used 400 grit..i haven't put the header back on yet cause im runn'n turbo now so im not shure if the color come back

You can pretty much do any finish you want with an SS header, it's fun.

I use FLITZ on all of our marine headers, never tried the Mothers polish.
