Precision SC61 or Garret T3/GT35 "Blowzilla"
Im debating on which route to go for a built H22,
Precision SC61

http://www.precisionte.com/sportcompact.php
or the
Garret T3/GT35 "Blowzila"

http://store.yahoo.com/cheapturbo/t3b.html
Id like to know which of these 2 would be a better choice for a 90% street, 10% strip built H22.
Which of the 2 has...
Better Spool time?
More power potential?
Id just like to know the advantages and disadvanteges of both.

You also have the option of Innovative turbos, check the sponsers forum in FI
also do a search on those turbos, lots of info on them.

I love Innovative, BUT I think that naming their turbos (wether it be the distributors or the vendors themselves which I doubt) the "SC61 killer" is REALLY lame. And how can they share the same specs as the GT35E and SC61 if they both have different turbine wheels . . . and how is their exhaust side different or better than Precision. I'm not siding with either just looking for facts and explanations

Agreed. It's fairly known in marketing that bashing another companies products does not give you an advantage. It makes you come accross as the "catch up" player in the game, as well as an *******.

Well, since Precision cut Camp1320 off from whoring out their product hes been pushing innovative. A couple of months ago that guy was hyping precision like no tomorrow, now innovative. Sell what ya sell I guess.

And it's also "known" in marketing that naming a product is a crap shoot (unless you have access to marketing research groups).
Innovative is a great company and the idea that they need to "catch up" is absurd. Also, I don't believe it's an attempt to "bash" as it is a way to announce exactly what this turbo is made for
I know of well known race team that made the switch from one unit (that will remain nameless
) to the same sized Innovative/Borg Warner and picked up an extra 150whp to the wheels.
I personally want to switch but am contractually obligated to run what I have to

I have an AGP RS65 turbo which They list as the following:
The ultimate power potential in a bolt-on configuration. Full boost can be seen a little over 4000rpm, and enough compressor flow to shread transmission parts with ease.
-65 lb/min compressor
-56 trim GT40 compressor wheel
-76 trim T350 turbine wheel
-T04E (3" inlet, 2" outlet)

It might just be me, but naming a turbo "the SC61 killer" is a definete attack on precision's product.

They are a great company. I've never said that they wern't. They are currently the only other company that holds patents a dual ball bearing center section other than Garret. However, They ARE playing catch up. In the sport compact turbo market, the SC61 owns all right now. To be competetive, they are producing the turbo of the same specs with they're name on it. With the name "SC61 killer" it would be obvious to anyone that they are infact playing catch up.

That means nothing without at LEAST a dyno graph comparison.

What the hell does that have to do with anything? No ones saying Precision is the ONE and ONLY. If you think that, your mind is living inside a box.
