Brake Ducting?
I'm looking into brake upgrades for my integra as soon as it gets back from the shop, I'm seeing this stuff about brake ducting and did searches all over the web. Most sites just give me prices on pipe looking pieces and so fourth, can someone tell me what actually is brake ducting and does it work significantly?

I'm assuming that is is the piping that routes air directly to the rotors and pads. My mechanic has this on his NSX, so i'm sure it's not completely useless. I'd think it's one of those DIY things that is worth doing if you're bored. I've considered doing this also.
I have only seen one pair of rotors that were that color, and it was after the guy drove for 30 miles with his parking brake on!
how hot do those rotors get?

Chris, do you notice the ducting to be beneficial or have you never tracked your car without it?
The whole reason for the ducting was because I ashed my stock pads at Sears Point. A MUST have for any track use. Now I use Hawk Blues..and the ducts so I dont know the difference...since I changed the pads and added ducts at the same time.

hey guys with brake ducts, do you have to worry about debris hitting the caliper while running the car?
of course that is just my thoughts, it might do something completely different in practice.
I actually had alot of BUGS on the inside of the rims and back side of the rotor.
The ones on the rotor didnt last long before they were turned into carbon! And the pad just wiped them off i'm sure And yes, at the EXPO I burned my arm on a spoke reading the air pressure right after I got off the track
All I could smell was baking on paint! (they are Krylon'd flat black)
