HELP! - i scratched my 2 week old paint job
Ok, this is the time where everyone will tell me -- "your an *******.." and for the record, i know, but here we go...
I just got my car, and as im removing the badges (with a blowdryer and dental floss) i pulled them off ok .. they survived the operation, however with the little bit of sticky residue left on the car i used wd-40 and a small razor to scrape off the residue ... ready? all together "YOUR AN *******" ok .. so long story short -- i scratched my clear coat.. i after all this went to the store and bought advesive remover -- and the rest of it came off perfect -- now what can i use, that is inexpensive to repair my **** up? ive heard the GS-27 is great -- is it? PLEASE let me know it hurts me to see the scratches on the paint -- i dont even have swirl marks yet!
Thanks

yeah gs-27 is good, haven't seen it around lately in stores though dunno why *shrug*, but i'm sure you could use some touch up paint from your dealer and rub it off with a mild abrasive.
Are you sure you removed your clear coat? I would recommend putting polish, letting it sit for 30 minutes in the place that got screwed up. Follow by wax. Use Meguiar's #7 and #26. Next time when removing your emblems just use a small amount of "goof off", then wash off after a couple seconds. Then rub, rub, rub. To get it totally off use a clay bar.
