I thats probably not a bad price for an intake manifold. Be sure it comes with everything you need.

The next step is getting the EX camshaft, then the EX exhaust header and ECU.

Go by Honda Heaven off Division in Arlington. See if you can strike up a deal for all the stuff you need.

Don't forget the ex exhaust manifold...but IMO it seems like an expensive way to get 10 hp I would just save the money on this and either save for a turbo, swap or rebuild. I would guess this "swap" would run you 500-600 bucks, but its not that much more impressive. But if you are planning on turbo just get a better IM, injectors etc etc.

The main difference from the a1 to a4 is the IM, EM, ECU and cam.....thats it (I think). Be sure to reset your ecu after all upgrades.

I was saying for the entire swap (IM, EM, ECU, and CAM).....I would personally regrind your current one. If you can get a IM for 70 bucks then ok, do it. And the "extra port" I think your talking about the butterfly valve that opens more during WOT at least I think thats what its called.

Im not trying to be rude, but I was trying to read some of those things that you wrote. All I have to say, is I hope you actually know how to spell the real words in your sentences. You do it so much that it makes me think that is how you really talk.

Yeah, Im tryin to right now. The only thing that will be different is you need to run a control line to the IAB control box so that the butterflys will open at 4700. The box should be bolted to the bottom of the lower half runners. Its all diagramed in the shop manual. 70 is a decent price, I paid 150 for mine with injectors and a head. The plenum is so small though, I was wondering if I would get a gain from using the H23 TB and plenum. The TB is bigger and the plenum is huge in comparisson. With a free flowing intake I think it will compliment a long duration cam. All I need to hook it up now is an EX ECU.... ANYBODY?

I'm also trying to swap an a6 intake manifold to an a1. I was noticing that on the a6 there is this black box on the bottom of the right side. Does someone know what that is. I notice some people saying its not worth it because of price but I have one lying around so thats not an issue. Also when the intake was on my old honda it had an erratic idle when warming up, if I swap it to my new honda will it bring the erratic idle with it?

i like the idea of this. and that intake manifold is pretty cheap. but i would go wit a H22 or F20B swap. yea it will cost more but there will be more of a difference that swappin on EX parts.

I would also consider the H23 possible to find at junkyards.
About the exhaust manifold I would say its a tad high on price, if they throw on the gaskets then sounds better. I opted to get the dc sports ss header when I had my 4th gen it felt really smooth up top.
