Default Motor Mount Bolt Broke

I bought motor mount inserts a while back, and tonight I decided I was going to install them. As usual, nothing went real smooth, but then it happened. While taking the front mount off, one of the 3 bolts holding it to the block broke while taking it out. I could tell it was seized up, it was much harder to turn than the other two bolts. But it was coming out, so I continued. I dont know if there was something I could have done differantly that would have allowed me to remove the bolt. So now about 1/2 the bolt is left in the block, and I dont know what to do. I am calling it a night, and will continue tommarow. Hopefully tommarow goes better than today. But even after I get the inserts in and everything back together, I still have the problem of the broken bolt. Any sugguestions?

go buy a tap and die set and fix it. sears has metric sets for like 19.99 or you you may be able to rent a tap and die set from autozone or another local auto parts store.

good luck.

Tap and Die, that doesnt really help me getting that bolt out. Unless I am missing something. I could see after I get the bolt out that retapping it might be required. Its seized in the block bad enough that it broke, maybe I am gonna have to drill it out?

Why dont you unbolt the other two. Then reach down and remove the lateral bolt that goes through the motor mount. Then you ca lift that piece out of the way, Get a drill in there (a small drill or a normaldril with a 90*Degree attachment) and drill the old bolt out (carefully! ad using a large but not quite as large as the hole drill bit)

Once youve done that there will be ametal ring of whats left of the bolt in the block, this should 'unscrew' without to much difficulty.
