CAI using shortram question?

Default CAI using shortram question?

Does anyone have a blue print on creating a heatshield for a short ram for an ITR? Or a how to with what materials and measurements?

This is my solution. There is also a 3 inch wide flexible hose underneath the filter leading fresh air from the bumper opening to the filter.....
It's not RAM air but it's "cold air + short ram when driving"........

Sorry, no blueprints....

first thing you guys should do is make a template.....to suit your own design and taste! Then find appropriate materials able to repel heat emanating from the engine. Once template is complete wack on materials to further deter heat entering the intake!.....simple as that....ohh...for a good job it could take a little time!

Chris- Have you measured the temp difference on either side of the heat shield? If so, what were the results?

Only with my hand so far....its HUGE difference...cant touch the hot side for too long...and the intake box is luke warm. I would like to double wall it.... heh

notice your intake pipe after spirited driving and on cold nights??....suprisingly cool!...so im convinced they work!....
