Default cracks in the axleback = more air flow

well my friend is giving me a thermal RD axleback and he says its cracked before the muffler and right after axle connection part. What are the consequences of running this axleback with the flaws and is it possible to weld it up? he is also asking 100$ for it

Do you think cracks will help?
Bring it to a muffler shop and have them check it if your not sure.

It wont really do anything to performace (wont really do anytihng if the muffler gets fixed performance wise....lol) but just make loud noises, and more noticeable popping/backfiring when decelerating.

Just welded mine up today. Sounds much better, now if only I could find some way to use the last bolt thats missing on my exhaust manifold so I could have all 3 out of 3, then there would be no leaks at all!
