Default I'm a dumbass...

It's pitch black outside.. and no body is home, front door is wide open and unlocked.

I was looking at my car, which was parked at the end of the driveway. I was looking for the pre-marked spot to drill holes for a spoiler. While I was looking in the trunk.. I started looking at the wiring for the spoiler. To see the wiring better, I decided to crawl INSIDE the trunk.

Once I was in the trunk.. I realized there is a small spot in the rear seat that opens (used for skiis to be put through.. I think). I figured, if I could reach through that hole, and up to the lock on the top of the seat that opens up the latch to fold down the whole seat.. I could get through.

So, being the idiot I am.. I closed the trunk, and started trying to work my way out (you never know when you might be locked in your own trunk?)

Just as I start to get out.. some car pulls into my driveway!! It wasn't my parents.. it was just some odd car. And here I am.. in my own trunk!

The person gets out of the car, and walks up to the door.. and I can see her looking through the open door. I free myself from the trunk.. then realize the rear doors won't unlock unless I unlock them from the front!!!!

So I crawl through to the front door, hitting shift ***** and ebrakes on my way through, as I stumble through this small area. Finally.. I make it out of my door, and say "hey, you looking for someone?"

The girl at the door screams, and throws something that was in her hand up in the air. I'm like "gah! don't worry, I live here!!!" and she's like .."Matt?...."

turns out it was one of the neighbors moms.. returning my little brother's Dark Cloud 2 game..... She was so scared to see me just come climbing out of the dark..

So.. word of advice.. never lock yourself in your own trunk... I'm a dumbass

so if i read this correctly, you reached through the hole to unlock the back of the seat with your keys?

did you know there is a release handle in the trunk that unlocks the rear seat so it will fold down? its on the rear deck, you just pull it and the seat folds down.

HAHAHA but thats a really good story though.

yeah dude, its on the i guess...."ceiling" of the trunk. its a little black handle that you pull and it unlocks the backseat to fold down. its ok we all have our dumb moments.

well, this is the first time I've been inside of my trunk, I'm new to the Accord. And even new to cars... my family has driven nothing but Minivans and trucks our whole lives :/
