ES Oval tone?

Default ES Oval tone?

i plan on doing a custom exhaust in the near future, and i plan to buy the parts from kteller.com first off is the piping kit a full straight pipe kit (meaning i dont have to use a resonator)? and how does the ES oval muffler sound? i want something that has a mean sound isnt crazy loud but lets people know that im coming? TIA

the piping from kteller.com is just that - piping without any restrictions. i plan on buying a pipe set from them myself in the future. this will probably give you the best horsepower gains for the $185 bucks it costs to buy such sets.

eventually, if you dont like the sound your exhaust makes, or it sounds to fart-fart, just take a trip down to pep boys or autozone and buy a glasspack - itll probablycost around 15 bucks and weld it into one of the straight sections of your homemade catback. this will "tune" your exhaust and muffle it a bit.

these glasspacks are really nothing more than wide pipes with holes in the sides filled with fiberglass (i think) and will not really do much to restrict your exhaust in terms of horsepower losses, as most common cat-back manufacturers choose to install several resonator/fiberglass packs on their exhaust for tone uniqueness and also to remain within somesort of exhaust tone laws...
