Default SS Lines: Goodridge or Comptech??

I'm about to order SS lines, which of the two would you recommend? Does it even matter? I seem to remember reading that the Comptech ones are a perfect fit, but the Goodridge lines have some minor fitment issues. Please advise.

I used the goodridge ones on my 91 teg never had any issues with fitment if that helps. Edit* They did improve the feeling of my brake pedal but I didn't notice a dramatic change in break performance...

IMHO spend the money elsewhere. Unless you are in need of brake lines or heavily track your car I don't think they are worth it.

another one to think about is StopTech.
The stoptech one have a layer of clear rubber to cover and protect the line

I had good luck with the Goodridge on my old EF hatch. I've got the Mugen SS lines on the Arrr now, which are also great quality.

I do agree with Opie, though. Not really a neccessary mod unless you're noticing a lot of brake fade with the stock lines (which happened on my hatchback a few times -- scary )

<=== been running Goodridge SS lines for > a year now on the street - no problems at all. Definately stiffens up the pedal, and make it more linear IMO. Not a bad mod for ~100 bucks...

Saw these in person and they're definitely a better choice (IMHO) than Goodridge because of the protective coating over the SS braided sleeves.

Good point

Most of the ones out there are with regular steel fittings, except Endless and APP...plus a few others not-as-well-known brands.

SS lines should be replaced fairly often (1-2yrs) anyway...so whats the point of having SS fittings?

You are right, that's why most do not come with stainless fittings.

but for the similarly priced lines (APP, Endless, Project Mu etc), it's definitely a plus.
