Daytime running lights_disconnect
i live in canada, and i have a 90 LS integra, i was wondering how to dissconnect the DRL's. the reason behind this is that i bought a set of xenons and wish to try and preserve them for as long as possible (its a pain in the *** to buy set after set, friend of mine has drl's and has gone through a couple sets.....and besides i dont have the cash for lights when the moneys going elsewhere)
i know the whole point behind these lights are for better visibility during dawn dusk or bad weather where you dont need your dashlights but others have a harder time seeing you.
i was reading an archived topic about drl's and someone said that the taillights dont light up, i know on mine the tails light up when the drls are on. (just pointless info i know)
but anyway any help would be greatly appreciated

If you still have the manual, go through it. There should be a section covering the fuses (relay?) and one of them is for the DRL. I have a gen 2 and just saw it in the book yesterday. Hope this helps
i tryed disconnecting it at the module but then the engine wouldnt start, then i tried fuses but there are two fuses (if i remember correct) and if i take out both i have no lights. i was wondering if i cut the wire that powers the lights after the module if that would work. but im unsure which wire and im not the kind of guy to just start cutting wires.
thanks though maybe the manual has a bit more info lost mine. gotta find a new one

Be carful driving around like this. The insurance companies around here are getting ****. I have seen collision claims denied for a lot less than driving around without the DRL's operating properly.
I have had to do several after collision safety inspections. Car didn't pass a safety? Guess what, no money for your car...claim denied....policy cancelled.....won't get insurance with ANYBODY except facility (facility = take it up the @ss)
And this includes headlights that are not street legal....I am not kidding either.
In fact, State Farm is cancelling all the policies of people who have lowering springs or aftermarket wheels.......load of BS I know, but it is happening.
