Uh oh!!! ABS light came on!
Ok, so we get our first snowfall of the year today and I'm driving to school (with AEM CAI too). Anyways, we're basically driving on a sheet of ice so sometimes my ABS comes on. I make it to school and I'm relieved that I didn't hydrolock but when I get to the parking lot, my ABS light turns on...wtf?? what happened? how do i fix it? But i guess its better than hydrolocking. The second I get out of the car i look under my passenger fender and it is soaked. Whew! i think cause its snow it doesn't get through the filter...i dunno, i'm just glad it didn't hydrolock (i'll be putting my stock airbox back in soon though). But now i have this ABS problem...anyone?
Maybe your parking brake was on a few clicks? That turns off the ABS (turning on the light) after a little bit. Sorry if you already knew this...

I'm still contemplating on whether or not to take my GS-R to the Acura dealership to get it worked on...
Ah **** it, I'm just going to take out the damn bulb!

I had mine come on randomly for a period of like three months. I finally got around to checking the code in the computer...bad left rear sensor. Replaced the sensor, the light went away.
The brake fluid level at the brake master cylinder could be perfectly fine while the brake fluid level at the ABS pump reservoir could be low. For some reason that I haven't bothered to look into yet, the two don't intermix. And if they do, they don't to a great degree.
If you need to fill it up, remove the grey rubber cap, followed by a translucent stopper cap with the black rubber gasket just beneath the grey cap. Pour in fluid slowly b/c the reservoir is baffled so the fluid has to trickle down a couple of levels before it starts accumulating.

hmmm odd, the light doesn't come on anymore. when i go start my car to get home from school, the light doens't come on anymore...hmm weird
Even though your ABS light is on it may still be working, and even though the light goes off it doens't mean that the problem is gone. My lights was off, but i still had a problem, check your flash sequence as you would for a check engine light, but your ABS light will actually give a flash sequence, but you can check this flash sequence and see what the problem is.
didnt you say that your abs came on several times during the trip, if so it may have a code1 which is the pump overrun code there is a way to check make a jumper wire and jump between the two terminals on your service connecter. located to the right side of your glove box(under it) if when you plug the jumper up and turn the car on does the abs light flash once, if so just go to the under-hood fuse box and take out the b2and b1 fuse to the abs for about 30 seconds. reinstall them and crank your car is the light still on.
Hey Zulu, just a question, why are you so paranoid about hydrolocking ur motor from snow?? Its gonna take alot more than some snow to hydrolock that thing, maybe something more along the lined of liquid water.
