I am currently running a d16y8 in my CRX with the CRX intake manifold and a bored out throttle body (59mm). I have a 92-95 (d16z6) and I can get a hold of a 96-00 (d16y8) intake manifold...which would be better to use?? I know that the runners on both mainfolds are basically the same, but the d16y8 manifold has a larger plenum.

Also, what larger throttle bodies fit on the mainfolds. I noticed that someone on this board said that they were running a GSR throttle body on a y8 mainfold. Does this work? Are there any idling problems. The other option I thought of was mounting a Holley throttle body (62mm) on the z6 manifold, but that TB is really expensive ($500Cdn).

Can anyone give me any advice or some options??

 

I've always been told that the y8 manifold is better. I dont know if there's any probs using that w/ the stock crx ecu. I've also been told that the ITR tb bolts up nicely

 

But does the ITR TB work with the idle air control and fast idle sensors on the y8 manifold? How about an H22A throttle body?

It looks like the y8 manifold should work with the CRX ECU, I had some problems trying to use an y8 manifold off an automatic motor, the intake air control had a three wire plug instead of the 2-wire, used by the 5spd ECU's. Just don't want to fork out money for a TB from a wrecker and have it not work!
