Default 3 inch Muffler- i need a quiet one!!!! Any experinece with DnyoMax Super Turbo????

I am about to order a 3inch exhaust from kteller.com. I was wondering what the best muffler would be. I am looking at getting the 14 inch resonator. How well will this reduce sound? Is it worth it? I was looking at getting the es oval style muffler on his site. How do those compare to the magnalows? I just dont want to have a raspy high piched exhaust. I have heard so many differnet opinions. any help?

Order one of the oval style ones? Have you heard the oval before? I want to keep the stockish look so the n1 is out of the picture. My friend installed one on his and it is LOUD!

No straight thru muff will be quiet, so give it up! You'd have to go with a super turbo muffler or something for quiet.

That's just what they're called...they've been out longer than I've been alive

Instead of a straight thru pipe, it's baiscally an S shape which damps the noise a whole lot more than most mufflers, at the price of a few ponies however.

Ok, so say if i went with a dynomax super turbo muffler. How much performance would i really be losing? Is it kind of cancelling out the fact of gettign the 3in in the first place? Or is it just gonna hurt a little? Does anyone have experience with it? Whats the tone like? I dont want any rice coming out of the pipes so....

Ive been thinking about that muffler too. On their website it says that their Ultra Flow muffler flows 1,000 CFM and the Super Turbo muffler only flows 410 CFM.

on an EG hatch you can fit a 28" resonator so why not do that? twice the length means quieter. For the muffler I would also reccomend a turbo style muffler. Although it doesn't flow as good as the fart pipe style ones it will still be better then a 2.5" straight through I would guess.

On my car I used a 2.5" cat, 2.5" X 28" thrush glass pack (perferated not louvered core) two 180* 2.5" mandrel bends and a $14 summit 2.5" turbo muffler. It's pretty quiet and deep sounding except when letting it engine brake from higher rpms. Not Apexi world sport quiet, more like the sound of a not broken in greddy SP. I'm happy for $90 (not including the cat) and a couple hours of welding. It made a VERY noticable differance in power going from a stock Si exhaust.
Might try the dynomax super turbo if the summit one starts rattling or something.
