Are you guys all speaking out of your ***? Anyone had first hand experience?

Ive got 2 12's listed in my sig. THEY POUND!!! I just got them wired up myself and its louder than anything Ive ever heard other than full blown 10 sub cars.

Honestly, they are really loud and they look really good. My friend has 2 W6's powerrred by a JBL 1200.1 in a teg in a ported box.

I overpower his car no problem and everyone thinks so as well. Hes also a **** talker until I got it running and he heard it himself. It was just so much louder and most say the quality was very close.

I paid 240 for both 12's and they get me nice points at shows and pound when I want them to. Only problem Ive seen is with the lower end of the line of Audiobahn is people putting to much power on them and they seperate from the coil.

Never seen any problems with the higher end ****. Cheap as hell and Ive never seen anyhting pound like it for the price

audiobahn is like the brand next to the brand you want in an electronics store, it looks good, is a little more affordable, but a risky purchase
bottom line

All of audiobahn is low end - period.

This is the same company that has blatantly stole horn body design from Image Dynamics, then slapped on a cheap compression driver and tried to sell it.

To each their own, but I would NEVER run ANY of thier gear - pure crap. I have no respects who focus on marketing, rather then technology.

i heard that the sound quality sucks ***, and u pay that high *** price for the chrome/polished back in of the speaker and unless u plan on mounting them backwards where the magnet is facing outside, u wasted ur money on something that'll never be used.

get jl audio or alpine/mtx/polkmomo

Alright, W O T. This is why your system might sound better, (2) Clarion DPX 1000.2 Amps, 9 CF Ported Dual Chamber Box, Blaupunkt CD50 Deck, 4g Wiring, 135 Amp alt, Yellow Top

By the way, W6's that aren't the W6v2's are crap, one v2 could take 2 normal W6's. You also have a ported box, of course your's will be louder. Sound quality probably not, dependability definentaly not. I would be more proud of a less loud JL system than the loudest Audiobahn system.

Audiobahn is bottom of the line. Period.

Is it bottom of the line because I paid 240 for BOTH of my subs or because people pay $400 PER W6/W7

Maybe in a few years when I actually have a good job and am not making minimum wage and still in high school I would go high quality as well. But this is perfect setup for me.

I refuse to be completely ripped off by JL for there **** when companies make much better for less.

don't wanna get into a large fight, but JL isn't ripping anyone off. you can thank your local dealer for racking up the price.

audiobahns can get louder than JL for the price, but as far as sound reproduction, JL beats the audiobahn, no matter how much you like the audiobahn. If you prefer the audiobahn to the JL, then that's fine. Doesn't mean it has better sound quality. Just means you like a bit more distortion, that's all. Not a bad thing for many people.

it's hard to come by a company that makes better sub (SQ with large output) without having them cheaply made.

I had an audiobahn once. AW1000EU i believe. something like that. both were awesome subs for the price, at least the SPL part. but i grew out of that after hearing a JL Audio W0 for the first time, then i realized there were such things as SQ in bass. LOL!

then again, i now refuse to buy from any company copying other companies.

I've never really understood the "getting loud" issue with subwoofers. Any subwoofer given sufficient power will "get loud", but is playing loud really a concern? Do you buy a home stereo and turn it up as loud as it can go and say "Man....listen how loud this gets!" ? It might be loud, but is it music? Isn't that the point?

I've never heard a JL I didn't like.

Im in hish school man, thats all it is.

How LOUD is his system. His system makes your ears hurt. My systems sooo much louder than his... etc etc

Thats all it is in high school man, just a contest to who has the loudest car.

And RATTLE, people in my school LOVE rattling, all my friends were thinking I was an idiot when I dynmatted my doors and hatch. They were like man why stop the rattle, it makes it louder.

I made mine because I love the feeling of bass and it shaking you and everything around you. SQ wasnt my intention with this system and I never really knew what is was when I bought the system. But hey Im in high school, times will get better

exactly. I bought my subwoofers for sound quality use, but it has to get decent volume too. Not all subwoofers will get loud, mainly because many have super small coils, limiting their ability to handle power. You'll need some volume eventually, because when you're driving on the freeway and all you have is a single Illusion Audio ND-12, you'll know what i mean when you gotta have a bit of SPL behind it.

The audiobahn was when i was 12 years old. lol. First time i heard bass and usually those street beaters pass my house and all i hear is "brrrbbrrrr", so i didn't really know what was bass. ahaha.

4 years later, i grew way out of it. It's all about balancing your system now. I can't stand to have too much midrange and not enough bass, and vice versa.

Anyone can achieve SQ at super low volume, but having to retain that SQ throughout the volume **** is the challenge we all come across.

at my school, it's different. it's a SQ oriented school. lol!! everyone here i know has something new, except this dude who has his 2 10" audiobahn in a bandpass box with stock speakers, thinking it's god's gift. Funny though cuz he tells everyone that they should get tweeters, because they'll make any system sound good. he has audiovox..nuff said.

So eh..whats the topic again?

Hahaha...silly kids They should just hook up vibration devices; it doesn't sound like they upgrade their stereo's for music's sake.

Yeah, those revolutionary speakers that blew virtually everything out of the water in the SQ area when they were released is pure crap --- ummmm sure, whatever skippy.

The original W6 is still a killer driver and made JL much of what they are today.

You can't blame your local JL dealer for being "ripped off" Blame JL for doing research and development and blame the guy next to you for makeing JL's so popular that they can demand that kind of pricing.

The dealer simply takes the price they get the drivers for, then takes a piece of the pie so that they can make a living.

If anything, I blame the internet for creating a generation that is so price sensitive, they do not value warranties and customer service....but that's a whole other thread all together
