Default Vtec problem on '91 b20 CRX

Swaped b20vtec in my '91 obd0 crx. Was driving about a week with everything working fine. Yesterday vtec stoped working. Don't know what was the cause. I washed the car before that happens and ran into one big gap on road. I can't remember any more happening before.
code 23 is on. i am running without knock sensor. Could that be because of bad fuel or spark plugs? any ideas?

check all wiring! Make sure ecu pinouts are still "in"!

edit: oh yeah cel 23 (knock sensor) it should have no effect on vtec unless your obd1.

Problem solved. Battery ground wire was loose.

Well, it was b16a > b20b swap. First swap on this car was d16 > b16. U can find the answers here (HT) on all questions u'll have on this swap. I did the same.
