hey, just had a quick question. I need that hasport bracket to make my compressor fit? Can I use the stock bracket that comes with the b16? or it won't fit? thanks

 

yeah, you'll need the HASport bracket to mount the d-series ac compressor the b16a. then use all the orginal ac hoses, etc.

No it won't that's why Hasport makes their bracket. I don't know if anyone else makes the bracket, but I haven't had too good of luck with the bracket holding up. I just sent in my 2nd one that has cracked on me. I will probably get the response of "you need to quit gorilla tightening those bolts on there", but they're really nice about replacing it, it's just a pain to take out.

They're just very lightweight (aluminum, plus it don't bend it breaks) and the belt tensioner puts a lot of stress on the bracket.

If you want to try an alternative (I don't know what mounts work w/what etc...) look up LHT performance.org or something like that. Maybe give them a call and see what bracket they're using on their cars.
