okay now i reset my ECU... still got prblmz...
okay.... long ago i had a problem with my RPM gauge... it wouldn't pass 3200 because of a check engine light i had... now that i resetted my ECU... the light doesn't come on anymore... BUT... when i run my car... it bounces at 5500 for a awhile... and it passes it and barely touches 6000... this happens in gears 1-4.... what could be the problem?
my **** idles at 1.5-2.5k rpm's all damn day and it feels like the power is all gone...it gets loud as hell just doesnt go anyways....anyways hope you find the problem...i'm just venting out my stress of my car..
honestly the first problem wasnt caused by the check engine light, it really aint good either to clear the ECU because there is memory that the car has and if u reset the ECU it could also cause problems for a while until the computer gets the memory back... what i would have done is find out why the code is coming on and start there, have them clear it and then ask questions... but dont reset the ECU its bad....
yeah and then u get it checked that way u have a place to start rether than starting from nothin, it will give u an area to start checking.

Your problem sounds like a really really bad clutch slip, maybe some compression loss, if you can't go above 1.5-2.5k then the clutch is probably cracked or 80% of it is stripped, check that out ASAP.

why are you gettin it up to 5500? I would hope this is for racing and not driving. I could've misunderstood you though. I've said this before in a previous post but the CEL and the no power gain could be from an engaged cruise switch.. simple fix, but if it happens again jump the ECU and take down the code. there are some posts on here on how to do it. good luck
