Default My prelude died

I was driving my 86 prelude si the other day on the high way and I noticed it was running hotter than usual the gage wasn't peged yet but its was edging into the hot zone. I stopped and topped up the coolant but about 5 minutes later it begain loosing power and then finally got so bad I decided to pull over as I was coming to a stop and put in the clutch the engine just died and would not restart. The timing belt seems to be fine. Any one have any idea's or suggestions?
