Today i put the manual boost controller onto my friends 04 mazdaspeed protege. It pulled good vacume and worked good, we only turned it to 10psi.

Here is the problem, at idle the boost controller was leaking air out of the top where adjustment are made. is this normal?

 

mine never leaked at all that i know of

 

no, its not normal, ive done a couple of the xs bc's and none of them ever leaked. i would take it make for another one

 

weird, it seemed it be working perfect but i could hear and feel the leak comming out of the top....

 

ya i mean it prob. will never cause a problem and never work wrong, your prob. just bleeding off a little bit of vacuum, and boost but not alot. prob. be fine but like i said, im just a perfectionist and have to have everything working to a tee. so if it was me id take it back and have it swapped.
