Yay, I just got my motor back from the machine shop. B16a head, B18a block, JE pistons(12:5:1 compression), Eagle rods, Dart sleeved, and a couple of other little things here and there. Regular Toyo street tires, and a stock LS tranny....just for now. What 1/4 times should I be expecting? The motors going into my '89 4 door.

Yep, that's first on the agenda. Anyone care to recomend a good tranny to use? I'm figuring a B16?

well my friend had a ls/vtec in his 91 4door civic not sure what it all had but was running on toyos as well and a J1 tranny he ran 14.8 but he was only shifting at 6500.

 

I've got a friend that had a 88 hf with a ls vtec but it was a type R head with cams gears header exhaust and intake that went 12.5 in Louisianna.

yeah he was even running the stock Si ECU because the one they got with the motor broke so they were running vtec through a push button... ghetto style

GSR Swap? Type R rims... and Mugen lip kit? Anyways, that car pretty clean paint.

 

yea dont mean to dog on ya. but i highly doubt that car ran a 12.0 he doesnt even know what kinda rims he has and that lip sorry buddy thats a stock lip and sides. anyways yea the paint is clean minus the gay gas door sticker.

 

oh yea anywyas here is my buddies car with resleeved ls/vtec with type r head. it ran a 12.3@112 with no traction in first

haha thats what i asked him. that car is suck a pos man. lol. fast as **** though. he threw that car together in like a month. thats not even his fast car lol he has a 93 hb that has a turbo ls vtec that ran 12.6 untuned on stock ecu @ only 8lbs of boost with some little 22/8/15 slicks. this month they are putting in the haltec and tuning it so he can run 25lbs. so he should hit very very low 11's oh yea the hatch weighs 2550 with driver lol

 

no I dont' know why it says gsr. I've asked him about it and it's a type r head. really. I also tried to tell him that those aren't type r rims but he just doesn't listen to well. agreed the gas tank sticker is kinda stupid, along with the lights but he did go that fast he has the slip at home.

 

thats cool if he really did go that fast. and i donno is you were askin me what comp ratio and was it on pump gas. yes my buddy was on 92 octane and his compression ration is like 12:1

similarly, i have a friend who has an LSVTEC in an 86 CRX, stock bottom end, major valvetrain work, etc... he ran a 12.45 @ 107 with a YS1 Tranny, and 12.7 with an LS Tranny...

I'm hoping to break 14's. My car is putting down around 175 hp... Everyone is telling me I should be able to fine but I don't know how great my driving is.

from lookin at his site, im not convinced his car is in the 12's.
is it just me or does this look funny?.....12.08@113mph/APC clear corner lenses, APC hood pins and stock fuel system n header

i am right there with ya man. but hey if it makes him happy to think his car runs 12.0 then cool. but unless that bitch is resleeved and or running high compression i dont beleive that it broke out of the 13's. i donno i just find out hard to beleive when all of his words are mixed up.... a b18 swap with acura gsr????????? but like i said if he has to lie to kick it then its cool. but i highly highly doubt he ran that time. oh yea to the guy who posted what slicks was he runnin and also were you there. i mean **** i can grab a timeslip from my friend and say i ran 11.0 lol
