Do you think this will work? (insurance related)
A while back i was in a minor accident. The only major damage was that i cracked the casing of my automatic transmission.
Now, my insurane is going to pay to replace my tranny.
Ive been wanting to swap in a manual anyways, do you think that I could just get the insurance to pay for that instead of a new automatic? I dont know if they would be ok with that since it takes some modifications, but if they did i'd be killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
What do you guys think?

This is what i did....insuarance pays the shop the car's at...and the shop orders the parts...just tell the shop what you want and they'll use the check they give the shop to pay for ur modification..
You could always try but some insurance companies will only pay to replace the same part and will pay the shop. You'd have to check with the shop to see if they can help you if your insurance company will only pay them otherwise just get the check and get that manual conversion done.
